Pixie Lott to join Cheryl Cole on the X Factor panel

Mama Do songstress Pixie Lott is the latest in a string of stars signed up by Simon Cowell to appear as guest judges on the X Factor.

Ms Lott will spend one episode standing in for pregnant Dannii Mingogue, as the panel head off to the Birmingham auditions.

The musical youngster reportedly landed the prized position after impressing Simon with her Britain's Got Talent performance just last week.

'Simon was really blown away by her performance last week on Britain's Got Talent and his mind was made up,' a source told the Sun.

'Pixie may be young but she's not afraid to speak her mind. She's only been in the charts for just over a year but she already sounds like a pro.

'And unlike a lot of pop acts these days, she's happy singing live so is well qualified to judge the wannabes.'

Pixie will be stepping into the shoes of ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, who is currently standing in for Dannii at the Glasgow auditions.
