Robert Pattinson and Tom Cruise team up for MTV Movie Awards promo

As if Robert Pattinson's legions of fans couldn't love him any more, the Twilight leading man has proved he has quite the talent for comedy, by teaming up with Tom Cruise for a promo spot for MTV's upcoming Movie Awards.

With Cruise looking unrecognisable as he reprises his role as movie exec Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder, R-Patz steps up to play himself, and proves happy to mock his famous locks in the process.

Chatting to Cruise, in Grossman mode, the Brit actor says he might embark on some preening before the big film awards, and might even shampoo his notoriously dischevelled 'do.

Suffice to say, Grossman isn't impressed - WATCH below for the full fall-out! It really is comedy gold...

Pattinson will attend the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, alongside Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
