Robert Pattinson fears missing hair will end up at auction

Just days after showing off a brand new ‘do on US chat show Ellen, it's been revealed some of Robert Pattinson's precious lopped locks were stolen from the salon.

No joke, insiders have confirmed someone sneaked into the salon and pinched Rob's discarded locks.

And now the troubled Twilight star is worried his hair might end up at auction for fans to get their hands on.

'Robert has had his hair cut short for a movie role but his discarded hair has gone missing,' one insider told MTV.

'Someone collected it and Rob is concerned it will end up in some tacky auction. It's probably about the most valuable hair in showbiz!'

Oh dear.

Lovely R-Patz told chatshow host Ellen that his newly shorn short back and sides was down to ‘a terrible infestation of nits'.

'I had to shave it all off,' Rob joked, admitting he was shocked at all the attention his new style had attracted.

But we think it's more likely his hair trim was for his role in brand new flick Water for Elephants, which has just started filming.
