Ronan Keating splits from wife Yvonne

Boyzone star Ronan Keating and his wife Yvonne have announced they are to separate after 12 years of marriage.

The couple- who have three children together - married in a lavish Caribbean ceremony on the island of Nevis in 1998.

But amid much shock from friends and family, a spokesman today announced the pair have decided to split.

'With great sadness Ronan and Yvonne Keating today announce their separation,' an official statement read.

‘The separation is amicable and they will continue to work together in order to provide the best for their children.'

No reason for the separation has been given.

But just last week Ronan confirmed he has agreed to become a judge on a new series of X Factor in Australia, and reports suggest this could be behind the decision.
