X Factor favourite Cheryl Cole will be paid an eyewatering £250,000 to perform a 30-minute show at a party in Cannes.

Cheryl's bonus day comes after exclusive jeweller Grisogono invited her to appear at a swanky dinner being hosted at the film festival.

Mrs C is just one of the many celebrity fans of the brand, and has often loaned earrings from their pricey collection to wear during her X Factor appearances.

And as well as her whopping fee, it's been rumoured lucky Cheryl will also receive a piece of their sparkly jewellery for her efforts.

The party - which will be held at the celeb-filled Hotel Eden Roc in Cannes tonight - is set to be awash with famous faces.

Rumoured guests include First Lady of fashion, Naomi Campbell, as well as designer Margerita Missoni.

And we know gorgeous Kate Beckinsale is still in town, as she wowed on the red carpet again last night, so maybe she'll also turn up for the event.

No entertainer is worth £250,000. Good luck to her though - in a few years time she won't be earning anything, her voice isn't great and her good looks won't last forever.Someone else's star will be shining brighter.
