Doing nothing to diminish those rumours of a budding romance, Cheryl Cole partied the night away with Will.i.am last night, and was even spotted introducing him to her mum.

In pics that are sure to get ex Ashley Cole's blood boiling, the Girl Aloud hit a London club after supporting the Black Eyed Peas gig at the O2 Arena, and spent the evening dancing and gossiping with the band's front man.

She even took the opportunity to introduce him to her mum, Joan Callaghan, who joined her daughter at the after-party.

A source snitched to the Daily Mail: 'After posing for pictures with fans, Cheryl joined Will who was visibly happier to have her there with him, and even spent some time talking to her mum, who came to watch her perform.'

The pair have been firm friends since Will.i.am produced much of the songstress' debut solo album, 3 Words.

The American rapper recently hit out at Cheryl's soon-to-be-ex-husband, comenting: 'Cheryl's too nice to be cheated on. I don't know what he's doing. She the prettiest, hottest girl. She deserves better.'

He even hinted that he'd consider a UK move if it meant being closer to Ms Cole: 'She's a beautiful girl and I can't wait to hang out with her more. I'd move to London if it meant being with her.'

Oh dear Ashley, looks like you have some serious competition....
