Lindsay Lohan's shocking new photo shoot

umm the title says it it is meant to be a commentary on glamour - not saying i like it but think about the images rather than reacting

Lindsey doesn't need to do shots like this, she's already successful and her talent is obvious to us all. If she wanted to make "art" she should have approached a real artist, not an exploitative photographer.

I have to disagree with this - if it wasn't lyndsay lohan in the pics then it'd more likely be considered art. posing with a gun IS irresponsible - especially with gun crime on the increase in Britain, but that shocking contrast between beauty and beastly gore in the picture of her in that flat looks pretty good I think!

I'm really not a LiLo fan, normally I just find her to be an immature girl who craves for attention, but I don't really see all the scandal about these pics. We've seen a lot worse before, from her or other celebs, so I didn't find them shocking at all!

In hindsight I don't think it's that bad... Compare it to some of the things they've been asked to do in America's Next Top Model such as posing in a meat slaughter house, or more recently, a bath filled with real blood. I think people are too quick to get angry about this because simply because it's Lindsay Lohan. I think that at the moment unless she does an absolutely angelic photo shoot people will look to find fault with whatever she does.

I really think this is a complete over reaction. Tyler wasn't using her, she wanted to do it herself and he is a photographer. I personally think they're fantastic photos in Tyler Shields' style. Whatever she's photographed doing shouldn't be reflected on her 'destruction' and 'break down'.

I think the pictures are great! the blood stained one might be a bit much, but the rest are just on the edge....not even that bad! there are lots of other artists who do things like this and no one judges them - give her a break!!!

If this was simply a model that wasn't a well known celebrity then people wouldn't have as much to say. She looks fantastic and yes it is a slightly controversial idea but what about the artist that cut a cow in half and suspended it in a type of gel! Wasn't that called art?

I can see that it is art, so I don't want to judge the meaning behind the shoot.
Though of course Lindsey knows that she is causing some controversy here, because she is not just an art model, but a celebrity, and clearly she wants to come off in a certain way. If it was truly about making art only, she would have created the work together with the artist, and made another model pose for them.
And possibly not posted it on twitter to show to fans who like her as an actress.

As for the art itself, it's a matter of taste. I personally think the picture with the gun is not so artistic at all, and the picture with the blood isn't photographed from the right angle, the shot is too wide and so the composition doesn't look so interesting. Could've been done much better. The last picture says nothing more than fashion photography to me. So I am not really a fan of the work personally.

Agree with Leah Makin, on Tyler Shield's website, there are far worse pictures. He also has photos similar, with a female model posing on the floor while he points a gun at her, so give LiLo a break.
Yes, she is a messed up girl and probably shouldn't have this, but don't judge the photos until you see the website of Tyler's, where the images not of LiLo are just as shocking!

It is worrying that people no longer are appalled at images like this and that these shots that once would have been considered shocking and almost pornographic have become the norm . I have a seven year old little girl who looks up to these young celebrities as her idols and I certainly would not want my daughter to see Lohan like this !

I don't think there's anything wrong with these shoots. There's worse out there, and in comparison, these are nothing. I quite like them too, they look amazing. And besides, isn't controversial art the best type?

however, i do think it was a bad move on lindsay's part to do a photoshoot like this when she must be aware of the kind of press she's getting

It may be art but posing with a gun when you're supposed to be a role model and in the public eye at all times is just disgusting. One step too far. Imagine if a rapper posed with a gun? Would hardly be called art, more encouraging young people to engage in gun crime.

I think these shoots are awesome. What's wrong with a bit of controversy? Do we live in such a nannified world that people aren't allowed to express themselves? The images also bring attention to the fact that being famous isn't exactly what it's cracked up to be.

I love the title to the set.. Dirty side of Glamour. Well done is what I say. Glamour isn't all smiles and beautiful women etc.. thank gawd there's someone out there with balls and the imagination to create such striking images.

I'm not a Lohan fan and I'll admit I've never even heard of Tyler Shields *sorry dude* but all I can say is that whether these images cause outrage , controversy or whatever.. in my humble opinion they're still art. Isn't art all about creativity and provoking a reaction? With that in mind, Lohan and Shields have certainly done what they set out to do.
