Jack Tweed was cleared of rape yesterday, after a jury took just fifteen minutes to decide he was innocent.

The widower of Big Brother star Jade Goody, Jack was accused of assaulting a teenage student at his home last September.

During the nine-day trial, the jury heard how Tweed - a club promoter - met the girl at the Embassy club in Mayfair.

He confirmed inviting the woman back to his Repton flat, but denied forcing himself on her, insisting she had consented to sex.

And yesterday a jury found Jack not guilty, after taking less than 20 minutes to come to a verdict.

In a statement read by his solicitor, Jack said: 'I'm relieved the jury have taken a matter of minutes to see through these scurrilous and completely groundless allegations.'

Clearly relieved, Jack also thanked his legal team in a statement, and was last night seen celebrating the verdict with friends.

PR Guru Max Clifford - who represented Jade Goody - revealed he was pleased with the verdict.

'I am very pleased for Jack and his family, especially his mum, who I got to know very well when Jade was alive,' he told reporters.

'I hope this will be a lesson for Jack. I warned him about this kind of thing even when Jade was alive. He has become a target for girls looking to make money out of him.'

He doesn't help himself by having these mad parties and getting kicked out of his flat and taking drugs.
However that girl is worse if she was lying, her lying makes it more difficult for actual rape victims to come forward, especially if the allegation is against someone in the media.
Girls that falsey accuse men or rape should be sentenced to prison AND made to do community at a support centre.

Innocent people tend to look relieved when acquitted, not joyous
