Glee heartthrob to star in the West End
By Eleanor Young on Friday 16 April 2010
Glee's gorgeous Johnathon Groff has set his sights on London, and will be coming straight to the West End in August.
The television star - who plays miva (yes, that's male diva!) Jesse St John in the hit US series - has been lined up to play the lead in a new production of comic thriller, Deathtrap.
And it seems our favourite Glee star made a big impression at auditions.
‘Jonathan gave one of the best readings I've heard in my life,' said notoriously hard-to-impress director Matthew Warchus.
But the lovely Mr Groff is no stranger to the stage. His larger than life talent was first spotted in a Broadway production of Spring Awakening, which he just happened to appear in with Glee co-star Lea Michelle.

He also appeared in an early version of musical Hair, which has just hit theatres in the West End.
The official opening night is rumoured to be on September 7, so eyes down for tickets everyone!

I love Jonathon and i'm happy he's moved on from TV to theatre! He's really attractive and I'm sure is a nice guy so he deserves it!
