Shia LaBeouf talks about his relationship with Carey Mulligan - Opens up, GQ magazine interview - News - Marie Claire

Shia LaBeouf has opened up for the first time about his relationship with Brit actress Carey Mulligan, saying: ‘She's the most talented actress I've ever met in my life.'

The couple have been fiercely private about their relationship since they started dating last year, but Shia has finally broken his silence in an interview with GQ magazine.

‘She's an unbelievably thought-provoking actress,' says the Transformers star. ‘The most talented actress I've ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds.'

He then suggests that the reason they are so compatible, is because they both prefer to shy away from the limelight.

‘Neither one of us are fame whores. It works out,' the 23-year-old explains. ‘It's not like we're the premiere couple; we're not the red-carpet king and queen.'

And, it seems, he's taking this particular relationship pretty seriously, which is why he's been so uncharacteristically tight-lipped.

‘I've never really had anything in my life that was off-limits,' he says. "But with this, just out of respect, I don't want to f*** around.'

The pair started dating in August last year, after meeting on the set of their new movie, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. Watch the trailer below:

It's so refreshing to see a young couple who aren't flaunting it all over the red carpets and maintaining some privacy. I hope it works out for them.

they're so lovely together. and it's so nice to see someone act that way for once. they kind of remind me of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, they're the same way. i like and respect that attitude. they're keeping what's important to them, to themselves.
