Lost Boy Corey Haim dies of accidental drug overdose

Lost Boys actor Corey Haim has been found dead at his LA home from an 'accidental drug overdose.'

Police confirmed that the 38-year-old's body had been discovered in an apartment that he shared with his mother, and that he was pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank.

Haim found fame in the Eighties, starring alongside Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric in The Lost Boys.

He also hit the headlines for briefly dating Victoria Beckham, although she admitted that their romance was short-lived: 'Looking back it's hard to work out whether I really fancied him or if I was just a bit of a sad fan.'

Tragically, he had a long history of drug addiction, which he openly discussed in the press. He went to rehab for prescription drug abuse, and later described: 'I started on the downers which were a hell of a lot better than the uppers because I was a nervous wreck.

'But one led to two, two led to four, four led to eight, until at the end it was about 85 a day - the doctors could not believe I was taking that much. And that was just the Valium - I'm not talking about the other pills I went through.'

I am so sad about corey's death. Alot of celebs died the past couple of yrs its so shocking how fast we are hearing about another death. I have been a fan of corey haim since a kid i even used his pictures as wallpaper in my room literally at one point it was just corey haim covering every inch of my walls. I am so sorry and sad for corey haim and all his family and friends. RIP Corey Haim.
