Vernon Kay admits courting Page 3 model behind Tess Daly's back

Tess Daly has spoken out for the first time since husband Vernon Kay confessed to sending racy texts to other women.

And she's confirmed that their six-year marriage is back on track.

Their relationship was rocked by the revelations that Vernon Kay had been sending explicit messages to five different women, including glamour model Rhian Sudgen.

Writing in her regular column for The Mirror, Tess said: ‘The past few weeks have been tough, but we're working through it.'

‘I've been really touched by the support I've had from the public, and it feels great to be back at work,' she continued.

The 38-year-old chose to take some time off work following the scandal, and kept away from the public eye.

But Tess and Vernon made their first public appearance as a couple on Monday, putting on a united front to host the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards - both being ambassadors for the charity.

The pair tied the knot back in 2003 and have two daughters together - Phoebe, five, and 10-month-old Amber.

I'm glad they're working through it, for the sake of the kids. And that Tess hasn't made a massive song and dance about the whole thing. Very diginified.

I am really happy they have sorted this out they make a smashing couple Vernon has apologised and if Tess has forgiven him that is all that matters xx my message to vernon is dont be so trusting if you text a woman other than your wife with cheeky stuff it will get out xxx

Lovely couple, saucy texts not the end of the world, they have both been put through the mill over a little faux pas, let them get on with their lives and put it all behind them. He held his hands up and will no doubt have it thrown up at him at every possible occassion, lovely couple, would have been a shame to see them split. Good luck to them, they obviously love one another.

I think she should leave him. His behaviour is disgraceful and I certainly would not put with that level of distrust and lack of respect. Texting other women - in the manner he was - IS cheating.

I don't think this is acceptable at all,it's the same as cheating!!Ipretending it's over and done with is naive,I would not like to be with a guy who does anything like this,the fact that they have kids does it complicated but that's no reason to forgive and forguet!!I would have left him,way to much of a pervert!

I just cannot understand how a woman can stay with a man once he has cheated, and sex texting other women is cheating. How can they respect themselves knowing they are behaving like doormats for these men to walk all over.If he really loved his wife, he would have no need to go behind her back like this. He onviously needs other women, and tess is kidding herself to think otherwise, he'll always be unfaithful, even if its just in his head. I would say adios to him if i were her.

I am surprised that they are trying to get back together. Usually men do not change their spots. I have been married 40yrs on Sat. to the same man. I think he was very bad to do these things it doesnt look good. They have only been married a short while and they also have a new baby. Not a nice man not a nice man.

I understand she would want to stay because of the kids, Thing is once you've been cheated on, you never really trust anyone else fully. Maybe it better the devil you know. I do aplaud Tess though for being so dignified.

Tess is and always has been a very dignified Lady who is willing to give Vernon a second chance which I hope works out for them. People are saying what he did is cheating so she sould kick him out, yes its a type of cheating "BUT" he did not sleep with anyone unlike those other two in the papers, and I for one admire her for doing what she is doing.

Having been through the same thing at exactly the same time I have the utmost empathy and respect for Tess. If children are involved it is hard to walk away. He has been an ignorant selfish idiot and should thank his lucky stars everyday of their marriage that she has given him another chance as I did my husband.

The fact that Vernon did such a thing tells me everything. If this didn't come out i'm sure it would have continued and may have gone further. The fact that he was doing it would have been enough for me. Tess should have left him. Yes it would be a shame for the children but you cannot use children as a reason to stay together. Disgraceful behaviour for a father and husband, Tess will not trust Vernon, without trust you have nothing.
