Robert Pattinson: 'There's a lot of sex in Bel Ami'

Now calm yourselves Twilight fans. Robert Pattinson has revealed that his new film contains some rather explicit content, confirming: ‘There's a lot of sex in Bel Ami.'

The actor stars in the movie opposite Uma Thurman, which is set in 1890's Paris.

But this doesn't look like it's going to be your average historical flick...

‘It is like the complete antithesis of what you normally think period dramas are about,' Rob told MTV.

‘In Paris, everybody was just going nuts. It was like the 1980s. Sex was kind of a weapon and a tool, and it's odd,'

There's something very mercenary about it in a lot of ways.'

Recent reports also claim that the film features a decidedly raunchy scene involving Rob and 40 other women - but it has yet to have been confirmed.

Anybody else suddenly planning on being first in line to check out the film?

We've got a while to wait though - it's not scheduled for release until next year.
