Good on her she doesn't deserve the hell Ashley has put her through. I met Cheryl when she was doing the Kilimangaro climb and I thought then that she was lovely and such a down to earth kind of person. Hope she has better times ahead of her.

Fair play to Cheryl, as role model to millions of young girls, she has done the right thing and got rid of a cheat and liar that is Ashley Cole, a man who had apparently everything and still wanted more! He will get what he deserves and no doubt Cheryl will too!

Well done Cheryl. You forgave his previous fling and tried to patch things up believing it was a one off but Ashley just proved that he wasn't capable of being a faithful husband so now it's time to dump him. Let's hope you meet someone really nice who you can have a family with. Let Ashley rot....he had it all, and it wasn't enough!

Ok, so he's been a 'naughty boy' but hey, lots of couples work through such events and come out the other side stronger and even closer. Maybe if Cheryl had spent as much time working on her marriage during 2009 as she did her solo and TV career it would be a different story.
It always takes 2 to make any sort of relationship work and I find it sad when I hear of another young celebrity couple who don't take the time and commitment to making their marriage a success.

Its always sad when a marriage ends, its even worse if its down to a partners infidelity and its a million times worse when it is so much in the public eye.
Jo, would you not put yourself first if your partner did this so publicly to you???
Its understandable she wanted to leave the country to give herself space and think about the next step without the paps being on your doorstep.
She forgave him the first time to show she wanted to work at their marriage but unfortunately this takes two and he obviously wasn't interested in putting the effort in.

Some may say that Cheryl and Ashley should live in the real world, then they would have put more effort into making their marriage work. BUT Cheryl did! She forgave Ashley once and tried to put their marriage back on track, which Cheryl is truely respected for. But yet again Ashely betrayed, and Cheryl will look like the fool to stay with him, istead of Ashley looking like the fool! So Cheryl has done the right thing and deserves a much better husband than Ashley! And like she will sell her story, who wants to publicise the man you love cheated on you?!!!

Cheryl is an absolute trooper. She acted with nothing but class all the way through. Whatever temper she displayed in her early career has certainly been smoothed over!
I believe she genuinely loved him and didn't expect him to cheat. He seems like the type of man who will never be happy, and we all know that considering his penchant for cheap z list blondes, cheryl was way out of his league. What a relief it must be for her, not having to worry anymore. Plus they no have children, so she is free to meet someone who really does care about her and start a family. Even though it's sad, I see this split as such a positive thing!

Cheryl already took the lying rat back once - it takes a very brave woman to forgive that and try and move on and make her marriage work- but it would appear only half the couple believed in their marriage vows. Unfortunately a leopard rarely changes it's spots and Ashley has proved himself unworthy of such a fantastic woman.
