I think that the saying "once a cheater always a cheater" applies here. His excuse about "someone else pretending to be him" is so ridiculous and that doesn't explain why he took nude photos of himself on a phone...surely they were intended to be sent to someone! If she doesn't leave him now then I have no hope for her, as much as I don't like her she deserves so much better and I'm sure there would be a plethora of decent guys stumbling over themselves to treat her properly. I really hope this time she comes to her senses! No one should have to put up with so much humiliation.

Forgiving him the first time was a downfall. That lets him think he can do it again. That said, the cheek of actually pursuing it second time round makes me sick. Cheryl's a beautiful girl inside and out, she can do a lot better. And will, if she gets rid him!

She should definitely leave him. He is a waste of space and she could blatantly do so much better than him. If she stays with him after this it'll be a green light for him to do what the hell he wants. Cheryl's still young and she should cut him loose and then go and enjoy the rest of her 20s before finding someone who is worth her commitment and trust. It would set a good example to young women as well - showing that it doesn't matter who a guy is or how much money he has. If he doesn't treat you right, cut him loose.

It's about time football was shaken up. Footballers who behave with such a lack of morals should be made examples of. So many young people idolise these frivolous idiots. They sleep around, show no respect for the women in their lives and get into fights and street brawls yet never see any consequences for their actions and carry on earning stupid amounts of money. What kind of an example is it?

I agree with Gina.... who cares ? She is talentless, and made up like a doll not a real person. She has not always been "sweet Cheryl"
has she and there are far better looking seen on the streets without all the make up she wears. He does at least have the skills of a footballer, but if he is stupid enough to send these texts then he must be prepared to suffer the consequences. He is rich does he honestly think these sort of women will keep quiet !!

The footballers who conduct themselves like this make me sick. They are paid obscene amounts of money for their sport and feel they have no obligation to behave decently for their wives, football club and fans. It's about time that they are severely disciplined (without pay) for bringing their reputation into disrepute - hit where it hurts - right in their bank balance! - as far as Cheryl is concerned - I think he is probably jealous that she is so popular and gorgeous - from one geordie to another - get rid hinnie - he doesn't deserve you. It will break your heart for a while but not as 'long reaching' as a lifetime of humiliation & pain - he won't change - you have to, and you WILL look back in the future and wonder how you put up with it for so long. Such a sad story. Long lasting and happy marriages are based on mutual trust, respect and affection. No doubt Cheryl will be asking herself whether she and Ashley share any of these things at all.

It sounds like she deserves more and it would be better to cut her losses and invest her energy in someone who will provide the basic support she deserves.

Ashley has behaved like a selfish little child and is too immature for marriage.

It's very cruel of people here to "laugh" at Cheryl. Whether you like her or not, you can hardly wish such a situation on someone.

I believe that this relationship was just an wedding for Cherly do to the scandle with her and a black women when she punched and blacked her eye and needed someone to lean on and take the pressure of her. Now she is doing well she is now trying to get rid of him so everything he does is looked upon as his fault have you every think that they both could be doing this so she looks good at all times to continue in her career. Remember this Ashley is only a footballer and the expect these things to go on you know what mean are like, but with her she needs to look like she is innocent, but when they break up bet she will have a boo.

Poor Cheryl - she got her just desserts!!! Have you all forgotten Miss Tweedy when she hit a woman in the ladies of her rich daddy's club and thought she'd got away with it??? She thinks butter wouldn't melt in her mouth but Ashley has met his match and goes to show for all their money combined they are very mismatched and fame hungry!!! She's always on about "when I have babies" but the truth is she's probably too scared to have them with such a coward of a man, or she's too rich to give up the comforts. Either way, just like John Terry and his simple doormat Toni - these people will never be happy, rich - yes - but never happy - and we all know, money doesn't buy you love!!!

Sometimes you have to move on, no matter how much it may hurt. For every action theres a reaction. What if she had (or one of her ex-partners had AIDS.........)In todays climate and the rise of STD's - is a cheating partner (male or female) really worth it. You gave him a chance and he doesn't respect that or value his own self worth. Babes he's not worth it. Trust me, there is someone waiting in the wings for you.
