The stage looks set for a collaboration between Lady Gaga and Britney after they met at the Grammys.

A Grammys afterparty is probably the best place for some nifty networking if you're an up-and-coming star. However, this year, two well-established pop acts have been at it and the results are bound to be amazing.

And Lady Gaga's dad is the one to thank for it all. Gaga's father Joseph was her guest at this year's Grammys and while she nipped to the loo, he went up to Britney, introduced himself and told her that Lady Gaga was her biggest fan.

When the Poker Face singer got back to her seat she found her dad and Britney deep in conversation and joined in. A source told the Sun, 'At the end of the chat, they exchanged numbers and agreed to go into the studio and work on music together as soon as GaGa finishes her Fame Monster tour.'

Not only are we rather excited about Britney donning a couple of Gaga-esque crazy costumes, we've also been wondering if this will lead to another celebrity snog, like the one Madonna and Britney shared at the 2003 MTV Music Video Awards.

britney is the best, she knows to sing she is great but lady gaga is the worst singer that iv ever seen, she must learn to dress she doesnt have a good stylis, i think britney shouldnt do the duet with her
