Simon Cowell is Cheryl's biggest fan

Simon Cowell this week dropped his strongest hints that he wants Cheryl Cole to be a judge on the US version of the X Factor. 

In an interview with New! magazine, the music mogul revealed that Cheryl is 'one of the best' he has ever worked with - despite having to 'twist her arm' to take on judging duties on the X Factor.

Apparently it took years of cajoling for Cheryl to agree to appear on the hit show alongside Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Simon.

'She blew me out on Britain's Got Talent after saying yes, and then eventually I persuaded her to do The X Factor,' 50-year-old Cowell said. 

'I knew she was going to be good because she speaks like normal people speak - people can relate to that,' he continued.

'I think that is the best sign of a judge. Not someone who is sitting there like a vocal coach, but instead saying, "This is why I like, this is why I don't like you". And it's a very rare talent.'

Cowell thinks Geordie Cheryl's talent will win over American audiences too, but said that it was up to the Girls Aloud singer to decide whether she wanted to hit the big time on US TV.

He said that nothing had been ‘confirmed yet' but added: ‘We still have a while to go. Cheryl might not even want to do it.'
