It's the moment everyone's been waiting for, and now the nominations for this year's Oscars have finally been announced.

After a painstaking wait - and much speculation - we can finally reveal who could walk away with what at this year's annual ceremony.

Avatar, The Hurt Locker, An Education and The Blind Side lead the way, all gaining nominations for Best Picture.

And Oscars night will certainly be a big one for the Hollywood greats. Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep are all nominated for Best Actress, while George Clooney, Morgan Freeman and Colin Firth are up for Best Actor.

But there will also be plenty of room for Hollywood's hot young talent, as Anna Kendrick, Carey Mulligan and Mo'Nique have all earned prestigious nominations.

Newcomer Gabourey Sidibe is also up for a gong, as Precious: Based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire continues its award-season sweep.
