Gwyneth gets the Goop on Paul McCartney

By Rachel Holmes  on Tuesday 2 February 2010

Paul McCartney and Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Patlrow has called on her close friend Stella's dad, Sir Paul McCartney, to write an article for her website on the benefits of a vegetarian diet.

Goop.com is where Gwyneth talks about her use of alternative medicine including 'healing modalities' (whatever they are), a good diet, meditation, and living an eco-friendly lifestyle.

She roped in Sir Paul to talk about Meat Free Monday, a climate change campaign run by the McCartney family which hopes to raise awareness of the environmental impact of eating meat. The idea is simple - avoid eating meat for one day a week and reduce your carbon footprint. Sir Paul used his article in Goop's newsletter to champion the cause.

He wrote: 'It's amazingly easy to take one day in your week, Monday or any other day, and not eat meat... All it means is that you have to think a bit about what you'll eat that day but, in actual fact, far from being a chore, it's a fun challenge.'
