We hear the sound of yet more celebrity wedding bells, and this time it is the turn of Kate Moss to plan her nuptials.

The world-famous supermodel got engaged at the weekend, after boyfriend Jamie Hince proposed in a romantic ceremony on her 36th birthday.

Ms Moss had been working on the beautiful Caribbean island of Mustique when the besotted Kills guitarist jetted out to surprise her her.

'Kate was stunned, Jamie called her up and told her not to come home. He said he was flying out to Mustique,' an insider said of the news.

'He had carefully picked a ring and chose her birthday to propose,' they continued.

'It was the first time they had been alone together in quite a while and it was extremely emotional.

Sources say Jamie chose Kate's brand new sparkler with a little help from her longtime friend, Topshop boss Phillip Green.

And it was an instant yes from the catwalk queen. 

 

The on-again, off-again couple's tumultuous relationship began in 2007, after they were introduced mutual friend Sadie Frost.

This came just three months after the end of Kate's relationship with Pete Doherty.

But despite this, friends say the celeb pair are ready to commit.

'Kate and Jamie are in a very good place, they already live together and this is the next step to settling down for good,' a source added.
