LATEST Scared Leona Lewis caught up in LA gun siege
By Sarah Karmali on Friday 15 January 2010
A terrified Leona Lewis found herself in the centre of a police drama in LA, when men holding handguns ran at her car.
The thugs were attempting to flee police following a high-speed chase, and ended up running towards the X Factor starlet and her team - who happened to have stopped for drinks at a Starbucks café nearby
Luckily, Leona's security men intervened before any damage could be done, but the 24-year-old's manager Nicola Carson was thrown to the ground in the chaos.
‘It was absolutely terrifying and Leona is still very shaken by what happened,' an inside source told the Daily Mail. ‘It could have been so much worse.'
'Leona was in her parked car when the chase came to crash around her. Two police cars had blocked off this other car. Men jumped out and suddenly these thugs waving handguns ran towards Leona.
‘LAPD cars were swarming the scene and shoppers were screaming,' they added.
This is the second ordeal for Leona in recent months, following the her book signing attack back in October - which saw the star punched in the face by fan Peter Kowalczyk.

So she happened to be in the same place where armed robbers were running from the police? It doesn't really involve her, she wasn't targeted at all or hurt, it was just a coincidence and nothing happened...it just sounds like a bit of a try for some sympathy publicity.

Book thing and now this - cant help thinking this is a PR stunt to cover the fact that she comes accross (not saying she is) as dull. Shes getting slated in the press for it and i cant help but think (and maybe the record company do too) that her fans will eventually get bored with her. "an insider" told the daily mail - where was the eye witnesses? Must have been a few. Then the stuff about flirting with so and so and her relationships on the rocks. Gone from dull to hmmmm actually we've got stuff to write about now....... Just saying.

Being punched and now this..... not saying that the punch this wasnt out of order but shes getting absolutely slated for being dull and now all of a sudden you're hearing - Leona flirting with chris brown and this person and that person, Leonas relationship on the rocks, Leona punched at book signing now Leonas caught in what sounds like a wild west shooting - no eyewitnesses but there was a daily mail "insider" - shes not giving many interviews anymore either, record company stopping that? I dont know it just seems a little coincidental. And what exactly was her manager doing getting out the car to help anyways? Nicola Carsson, manager and bodyguard! Erm ok.

If it is all publicity stunts then that would be an extreme case of sadness all round..
Who knows..
Other than that...must be a magnet for bad luck lately.

Oh come on Jade, how would you feel if men with guns started running toward your car? Leona is British and we're not used to that sort of thing over here.

Being caught up in a chase with criminals with guns a "publicity stunt", that is a pretty sick comment to make. Safe behind your keyboards you feel you are entitled to make such vicious comments. This is no better than cyber bullying.
