Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to buy Isle of Wight home?
By Lucy Hutchings on Tuesday 12 January 2010
Could the Isle of Wight be gaining two seriously high-profile residents? Rumour has it that Robert Pattinson and his Twilight leading lady, Kristen Stewart, are house-hunting on the island.
After spending New Year's Eve together in Ventnor - a small town on the IOW - the pair reportedly fell in love with the island, and relished the opportunity to escape the media glare.
In fact, news that the couple were staying on the island came not from the usual hordes of paparazzi following their every move, but a 13-year-old fan, Holly, who spotted the Hollywood stars in her local supermarket.
The envy of every Twilight fan in the country, she told a local radio station: 'I was just going down to Somerfield's with my mum. I looked at them and I didn't realise who they were but I heard them speak and realised who they were.'
Pattinson and Stewart happily posed for pics with little Holly, and after posting the photos on her Facebook page, they soon got picked up by Twilight fan sites around the world.
A source revealed to OK Magazine: 'Rob and Kristen were only recognised a handful of times while in Ventnor, they loved it... They've talked about buying a property on island for when the pressures of Hollywood get too much.'
Watch out Ventnor - we predict a vampire fan influx if the gorgeous pair do snap up an abode.

It's so nice they've found a place they can escape to. Couple or not, I'm sure they appreciate a little bit of space.
