We can reveal that the stars under the masks are none other than Ashley Simpson and her hubby Pete Wentz.

Usually when celebs want to stay out of the limelight they don a pair of sunnies, or even a baseball cap, but not for this cheeky pair.

They wore gruesome faces while they strolled hand in hand out and about in New York.

But rather than helping them stay incognito, the new masks seemed to have the opposite effect and the pair were soon the centre of attention.

The laughing couple quickly pulled off their new accessories, but they seem to have enjoyed the joke.

Maybe we're seeing a new trend in the making - celebrity masks here we come!
