After just four months together, kooky couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand have announced they're to tie the knot.

Rumours of an engagement first began circling after a certain Mr Brand was spotted browsing the rings in Cartier.

The couple have rarely left each other sides in months, and have been repeatedly pictured together in London and LA.

The star reportedly told a friend, ‘Katy's managed to tame me. This is it - I'm completely in love.'

And after a whirlwind romance, it looks like long-time lothario Russell has finally mended his ways and decided to pop the question while the pair holidayed in India.

The trip was said to be a Christmas present from the comic, and now lovely Katy is coming home with a bit more than she bargained for - a big sparkler on her finger!

Reports suggest romantic Russell proposed during a spiritual ceremony on New Year's Eve, which saw their relationship blessed by a love guru.

Afterwards he confirmed their upcoming nuptials to the Sun, saying ‘It's true. Much love.'

The happy couple are now said to have moved on to Thailand to celebrate their engagement.

Meanwhile, Katy has been busy Tweeting pictures of their trip, posting a gorgeous snap of the pair posing outside the Taj Mahal.

Not forgetting her sense of humour, the pic was accompanied by the caption ‘He built it for me...'.

This is one wedding we just can't wait to see!

After reading Russell's booky wook he deserves a break. Katy has tamed him and he looks even more handsome than he did before.
I wish them well and hope their future is a good one.

No taste? Are you joking..he's gorgeous, and funny. what more do you need? Good luck to the happy couple and don't let a few jealous miseries spoil things for you. I knew my hubby was the one for me on our first date 26 years ago. Some people obviously haven't had "that feeling" in their lives. May you have a long and happy life together!

Yes, she has no taste, but then again - this world would be boring if we all fancied the same guys.
I saw them having a meal @ Westfield and they seemed really loved up. Anyway, 4 months is way too soon.. However you never know..

i say good luck tp them. Its pretty rubbish to give them a year and rather cynical. Maybe it won't last but hopefully they do or at least have a really good time in that year. And as for taste - each to their own, if we all loved the same type of person what a boringf world it would be. Hes not my taste either but its better than the fake tan tastic, over groomed men around these days.
