Speculation over their romance has hotting up for months, and now it's been revealed that Robert Pattinson only auditioned for Twilight to meet Kristen Stuart.

The super-hot star admitted that after watching one of Kristen's films, he was really impressed with her acting talent.

So when he found out the teenage starlet was auditioning for new movie Twilight he just had to be there.

‘The only reason I went to the audition was to see Kristen because I'd just seen Into The Wild,' the handsome Mr Pattinson said in an interview with OK!.

Since then the couple have shot to fame after the Twilight Saga's unprecedented success around the world.

But despite this, the publicity-shy pair choose to stay out of the limelight when not promoting their films, and any romance between them has been a closely guarded secret.

But we do know they spent New Year's Eve together, as one lucky fan spotted them out and about on the Isle of Wight!

Hmmm. Well I've always suspected they were a couple - the on screen chemisty is just too good to be acting! Quite funny that Robert went to the audition purposely to meet her though! I just hope they're happy whatever their situation. Because then nothing else matters :)
