David and Victoria Beckham are celebrating a new addition to their family this christmas - a bulldog.

The pup is a present to David from his wife, who got the idea after the footballer talked about the England team's bulldog spirit ahead of the 2010 World Cup.

Victoria paid £2000 for the hound from a breeder based near their Hertfordshire home.

And he put in his first public appearance at the family's Beckingham Palace festivities, which included Christmas dinner cooked by dinner guest Gordon Ramsay.

The family's home was turned into a Winter Wonderland for the occasion, complete with a model Santa, sleigh and elves to entertain the boys, and plenty of fake snow.

The pup will live in LA with Victoria and kids Brooklyn (10), Romeo (7), and Cruz (4) while David is on loan to AC Milan.

The family already have two Rottweiler dogs, named Snoop and Puff after Snoop Dogg and P Diddy.
