It looks like Alexa Chung's American dream has come to an end, with news that her US MTV show has been axed.

The Brit relocated to New York to front It's On with Alexa Chung, a chat show in which she interviewed the likes of Rihanna, Diane Kruger and Vanessa Hudgens.

But following two series, MTV has confirmed that it will not be renewing Chung's contract.

The final episode is due to air this Thursday. It is unclear whether the London style star will return back across the pond, or pursue a TV career Stateside.
