Robbie Williams to make X Factor return for Grand Final duet?
Julian Broad
Robbie Williams gets a second X Factor outing as the Grand Final's duets are revealed.
It was one of the most anticipated performances of the X Factor season - but when Robbie debuted his single Bodies on the show in October, all seemed far from well.
Robbie received a mixed reception for his comeback - which involved him jumping round animatedly, and repeatedly breaking off his performance to shake hands with the audience. He was sporting a rather wide-eyed stare.
Now, it looks likely that Robbie may have another chance to impress the show's bumper audiences. With much to prove, he's rumoured to return this weekend for a make-or-break duet with finalist Olly Murs.
Although Olly is a music industry newcomer, he's been a consummate professional during the live show weeks.
Williams, on the other hand, blamed his bizarre performance on stage fright - and a stage door malfunction. He explained afterwards "I don't know if you've ever had 10million plus people ready to judge you on your first performance back in three years, but let me tell you, if the door between you and them isn't opening that's enough to throw you right off your stride".
The X Factor is said to have great faith in the 2010 Outstanding Contribution to Music BRIT winner. An unnamed source reportedly said: 'Everyone has a lot of love for Robbie and it would be a fantastic conclusion to the series if he came back and did an immense performance".
Of course, Robbie won't be the only famous face to sing on the now-traditional duets part of the show.
It is expected that Essex girl Stacey Solomon will sing on stage with crooner Michael Buble, while South Shields lad Joe McElderry has scored a coup, performing alongside George Michael.
For the first time ever, The X Factor Grand Final will take place over two days, with overall winner being named on Sunday.
Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will provide added incentive to watch - as if any were needed - as the final votes are counted.
Eighteen-year-old Joe is currently the bookies' favourite with odds of 2/5 to win.

Joe's voice is outstanding, however that's not everything. I can't see him as salable singer. To be good at everything means there's no particular, own style. He's good for musicals without doubts.

Look at the Facebook stats - last Saturday, Danyl had just over 40,000 fans, Stacey had around 73,000, Jo had 130,000 I think, but Olly had over 200,000! If that's an indication of who might win then there's a huge gap between 1st and second!

Many people keep saying that Joe has a great voice but is not mainstream enough, but look how well Susan Boyle is doing. Vote for the best singer: Joe!

Olly to win. Joe has a great voice but he's a bit wooden, he only sings ballads and doesn't move around the stage. Can't see him as an international star. Olly is an all round entertainer...move over Robbie, there's a new kid in town!

Stacy is not a winner, please do not vote for her. Olly needs to win, Joe will do well wherever he come.
