Leona Lewis to emulate Celine Dion's success?
By Megan Conner on Monday 7 December 2009
Titanic director James Cameron has predicted the soundtrack for his next blockbuster, Avatar, could be as big as Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' - if only he can persuade its singer, Leona Lewis, to release it.
Leona's track, 'I See You', has already been selected as the official soundtrack for Cameron's sci-fi movie, in cinemas next week, but the uber-director is said to be having trouble persuading the star to enter it into the charts.
Despite the song's potential to emulate the success of Celine's ballad, which was no.1 all over the world and remains one of the best-selling singles of all time, she is said to be reluctant to release a single so soon after her last hit, 'Happy.'
A source said: 'Leona was delighted to be part of Avatar but the song was never supposed to be released. But her cover of Run wasn't supposed to be released either - and look how well that did.'
In a bid to sway Leona's opinion, Cameron has reportedly offered the 24-year-old a sneak preview of the £300m movie, the most expensive film ever made.
Having listened to the track, which received input from James Horner, who also worked on Celine's 'My Heart Will Go On', we reckon Leona could have a global hit on her hands. So why not celebrate it?

Now I'm intrigued and want to hear it !! Like any 'restricted' record the fact that you can't get it by normal means will probably propel it rapidly up the charts anyway.
I'm sure it's a brilliant song, Leona is a great singer.

Probably best it's not released. She will get slaughtered by the haters for being "another Celine" clone.
She can't win, if she'd refused to do it, she'd have also got slaughtered for being up her own bottom (who does she think she is) and self important.
But it would be nice to hear her sing it live a couple of times on TV.

That song utterly ruins the end of the film. It should never have been included. Dreadful crap, I'm afraid.
