Lily Allen channels Cruella de Vil as she debuts a new ‘do

We think we can see a trend in celebrity wigs emerging. Last week we saw Cheryl Cole don a peroxide blond hairpiece for her latest video, and now Lily Allen is at it, too.

The star debuted a bizarre half black, half blonde ‘do - complete with a choppy blunt fringe - during a performance at Brixton Academy over the weekend.

At a first glance we thought she'd braved the new look on her own hair. But on closer inspection we realised Lily's new hairdo is, in fact, a wig.

Lily teamed her shocking Cruella de Vil hair with thick black eye shadow, surrounding her eyes with glitter for an edgy look that is fast becoming her on-stage trademark.

The svelte star paired her bold hair and make-up choices with a stunning sparkly wrap dress and on-trend, over-the-knee boots.

Not one to shy away from a daring ‘do, Lily has showcased a number of brave hair choices over the years.

Earlier in 2009, the star opted for a short, cropped style, and in the past has also been seen sporting hot pink tresses and long platinum locks.

Is it me, or is that actually pretty cool? I like it! But yes, agree that the make-up is pretty horrendous, but its stage make-up, so I'll let it go.

She actually looks amazing! Obviously she wouldn't look great walking down the road like that, but it's great for on stage
