Are they, aren't they? Rumours Reese Witherspoon & Jake Gyllenhaal have split

The rumour mill went into overdrive this weekend amidst claims Hollywood super-couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split.

News first surfaced early yesterday that the celeb pair were on the rocks, and rumours of a break-up began circulating.

To much surprise from tinsel town, it was reported that the famous couple had sadly decided to call time on their two-year relationship.

Claims were said to have come from a source close to Reese and Jake, but reasons for the break-up were never revealed. 

But this morning reps for both stars moved quickly to issue statements firmly denying the split.

‘It's not true. They have not split,' a representitive

said.

The famous pair first met on the set of their 2007 film Rendition, and a romance is soon said to have blossomed.

This is after gorgeous Reese - who is now fronting a campaign for Avon cosmetics - was divorced from first husband Ryan Phillippe.

The publicity-shy celeb couple are rarely seen out together, so we wonder if this could this have fuelled the latest rumours?
