Twilighters tweet thanks to fans for making New Moon

Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson - Twilight - Celebrity News - Marie Claire

The stars of the latest Twilight film are reported to be ‘ecstatic' that New Moon has gone straight to number one.

So to show their appreciation, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart all posted messages to fans through the official Summit page on social networking site Twitter.

‘Thank you for making NEW MOON #1. It's very exciting to be a part of something embraced by so many people,' wrote sultry star Robert Pattinson. ‘I hope you are looking forward to ECLIPSE as much as I am.'

Muscly heartthrob Taylor Lautner carried on the message, saying, ‘Your passion for The Twilight Saga is the sole reason we're #1 across the world!'

Finally Mr Pattinson's rumoured girlfriend Kristen Stewart added a girly touch, saing, ‘You all have proven you're the most amazing fans in the world once again. I feel so lucky to be a part of The Twilight Saga and thank you for making us #1!'

To speculation as to whether it really was the Twilight gang tweeting, Kristen replied ‘Yes, I twittered. Or twitted..tweeted? I dunno, but thank you sooo much anyway..!'.

Well that confirms it then!
