Britney Spears' marriage proposal 'rejected'

There have been rumours circulating for weeks that Britney Spears plans to marry manager and boyfriend Jason Trawick.

The pair have been together for nearly three years, and are often spotted out and about with Britney's children.

Just weeks ago the star was heard telling friends that the couple had already talked about the nuptials.

'She has already discussed marriage with him and they are excited about a romantic wedding,' said an insider.

But now it seems poor Brit's proposal might have been rejected!

Sources say the pop princess - who has been married twice before - proposed to Jason, but was turned down flat by her partner, who is not impressed by fame, and ‘takes marriage very seriously'.

Oh dear! The disappointed star couldn't hide her feelings, and later asked the audience at her concert in Sydney, 'Have you ever really loved somebody? Have you ever really been hurt by somebody?'

Oh poor Britney! She has all the bad luck! I think its time a nice man came along to rescue her... I've always secretly wished she would get back with Justin Timberlake, they were such a lovely couple!

luckily...this guy is mature and not some famewhore who would do anything to be in the spotlight. if he was, he would marry her in a heartbeat.

There's got to be another reason why he rejected her other than "he's not impressed by fame" - if that's the case why has he been dating one of the most famous women in the world for the past three years? I do feel sorry for her, I hope it all works out well for her, she needs a bit of luck on her side for once.

If he's unwilling to marry her, that shows what a decent man he actually must be, any fame-seeker would have said yes in an instant. Don't let him go Britters!

I really wish that Good fortune would come Britneys way. I think she is an amazing person but has been taken advantage of by most of the men in her life. If he has refused her - she should give him short shift - he is not the one. I hope that she will eventually find a decent man who will love her and care for her properly.
