Robert Pattinson plans a pop career

Sultry star Robert Pattinson has revealed he wants to pursue a singing career after he has finished filming the Twilight saga.

The Hollywood heartthrob and budding songwriter has already recorded one track, Never Think, which was featured on the soundtrack to the first Twilight film.

The hot star has also penned more tracks, which are yet to be released.

He said, ‘I write songs, that's true. I'll record a few tracks as soon as I finish the promotion for the movies, but before I won't to do anything'.

But the hotter-than-hot vamp fears his celebrity status would get in the way of a singing career.

‘I don't want to release an album which has a sticker on it saying, 'By the vampire of 'Twilight', on it,' he said.

‘If the record is released one day there won't be my name or my picture on the cover. Everyone would be biased. No one would listen to it.'

The world famous star - who recently admitted he was jealous of co-star Taylor Lautner's muscles - revealed to Paris Match magazine he dreamed of playing in bars and working his way to chart success.

‘Before I was famous I would have loved to perform in bars and pubs. But this isn't possible anymore,' he said.

We wonder what rumoured girlfriend Kristen Stewart would think of Robert's rock star status?

Sultry indeed. What an accurate adjective. He's gorgeous and has an amazing voice. I hope he gets around to his singing career eventually because he needs to share his voice as well as his beauty with the world.

He says no one would listen. It's just the opposite. Everyone would listen! Well, at least mostly Twilight fans. But then we'd go around and get other people interested too. He's an amazing singer and I'm not just saying that because I love "Edward". I heard Let Me Sign playing in the movie. I immediately loved it and had to find out who it was. Imagine my surprise to find out it was Robert. That was really cool!

LOVE his song 'Never think' he sounds so sexy and the guitar playings amazing. He's so talented I think he'd do well! He can sing... act.. play instruments what more could you ask for!
