Why has he been picked in 2009 anyway?? It's not like he really did anything of note this year. Jon Hamm, Robert Pattison, hell...even Obama... would have been more relevant to this year. I suspect 'People' would have been better off waiting till 2010 to name Depp(when Johnny Depp's 'Alice in Wonderland' is slated to be released) as sexiest man alive.

I am a twilight fan, but Johnny Depp is much sexier and deserves to top the poll. Robert Pattison is a pretty face but does not yet have the same depth as Johnny Depp in personality, nor the same sexy twinkle in his eye.

Get over it! Johnny is the hands down winner. Consider not only his good looks but his outpouring of love for his fans! Not once have I've been turned away or ignored by Mr Depp. He is truly a class act! As for sexy? It goes way back to 21 Jumpstreet and even now he still makes us drool! Robert Patterson like his fans, need to grow up before he claims the title that Johnny has now owned twice!

How sad some people are if they rely on magazine polls to get through life.
However, in saying that, Johnny Depp is by far THE most sexiest man around. He doesn't crave the limelight & seems very down to earth, grounded (read his book). His films are sheer genius & he is a fantastic actor. Can you tell I like him?!! He thoroughly deserves this accolade.

The over obsessed fans that Twilight seems to have as a following scares me at the best of times, but the fact that they are THIS angry over an irrelevant magazine poll makes them, in my eyes, hit all new lows. I mean, the Twilight fanbase seem to take the whole "screaming-teenage-girl-kissing-his-poster-before-bedtime" thing to a WHOLE new level.


I've never understood the Twilight obsession and I certanily do not understand the attraction to Robert Pattinson. I'm not the sort of person to drool over celebrities, but I certainly have a lot of respect for Johnny Depp, he seems very intelligent and genuine, and I would defintely consider him attractive.

I've always consider those magazine polls just a bit of fun...who would actually take them seriously?!

Personally I think they should take it to a vote so obviously Robert will win, the definition of his cheek bones and jaw are perfect, his bone structure it amazing and I dont think he diserves all the bad press, he is my idol and if i find a man a 5th as fit as him i will be so happy. I have a twilight room, clothes, accessories and i've read all the books ( eclipse 3 times :L) but i mostley like him for his music and his singing talen. i'm constantly listening to his music and i am planning on going to forks to have a snoop around! people dont give him enough credit for his music he rights lyrics from the heart and they are touching and really mean something unlike most chavy tunes out nowadays. i love you robert keep up the good work from abbie strawbridge , england x
