Leona Lewis proves she's still got the X Factor as her new album looks set to grab the top spot, and she records the theme song to a huge blockbuster film.

Leona's second album Echo sold more than 50,000 copies when it was released on Monday.

If it does reach number one, it will be the third X Factor-related album in a row to be at the top of the album chart - following JLS and Cheryl Cole.

X Factor also looks set to dominate the singles chart too, as the contestant's charity single cover of Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone, sold more than 82,000 copies after just one day.

But as if an expected number one album wasn't enough, Leona has also just announced that she's recorded the theme tune for a big blockbuster film.

Leona will perform the closing credits song for Titanic director James Cameron's hugely anticipated new film, Avatar.

The track, entitled I See You, has been produced by James Horner and Simon Frangle - the duo behind the hugely successful Titanic theme tune, My Heart Will Go On, performed by Celine Dion.

Sci-fi film Avatar, which stars Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington, centres around an alien race fighting against human invasion, and is expected to set new standards in silver screen special effects.

Leona's song will feature on the film's soundtrack, Avatar: Music from the Motion Picture, out in December.
