Simon Cowell tears strips off Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue

We love X-Factor! Not just for the singing talent but for the fabulous outfits that Dannii and Cheryl wear.

But it seems the girls' fashion choices have got under Mr Cowell's grumpy nose.

According to an X-Factor insider, Simon summoned the girls to his dressing room after Saturday's show and during an angry outburst at the girls, told them that it's a talent show not a fashion show.

Insiders think that the real reason for his anger was because he's furious that Danyl was in the sing-off.

We hope that Cheryl and Dannii didn't take Simon's rant to heart and will keep on flying the fashion flag.

what does simon want cheryl and dannii to wear ... a suit? he best not start dressing them because they'll just ignore him and wear what they want

God forbid that Simon would attempt to style them, based on his own apalling dress sense, shapeless v neck t shirts etc. Makes Louis look positively stylish.

With the dreadful twins still in the competition, and Danyl (who can't even spell his own name) still wailing away, it's patently not about the singing! And the girls look great! At least they're in 21st century clothing, not stuff from the 80s!

As much as it pains me to say, (my boyfriend is in a band and learns his trade the hard way by gigging) because I hate talent shows, I only ever read about X Factor to see what them two were wearing on the Sat night.
Apart from that, Danni Minogue is famous for having a famous sister, and Cheryl is not a strong singer on her own and doesn't write or produce her work, but like Aleesha Dixon she's been there and can offer advice.
If Noel Gallagher or Morrisey would sign up to be judges the talent would be amazing.
