First Cheryl Cole dominated the charts with Girls Aloud. Then, she became the queen of our screens on the X Factor. And next? Well, she wants to work wonders on our wardrobes.

In what can only be described as a natural progression for a nation's sweetheart who's constantly applauded for her sense of style, Cheryl has opened up about her desire to start her own fashion line.

‘I would love to make my own clothing range,' the X Factor judge said during a web chat broadcast live on MySpace. ‘But if I ever do it, I would like to put the time and effort in properly and do the whole thing myself.'

But her one-time close pal Victoria Beckham doesn't need to start panicking just yet - there would be little competition between the two of them, as Cheryl wants to go high street rather than high end.

‘It would probably be a high street collection,' she said. ‘I would take inspiration from designer stuff, but turn it into high street.'

However, with the X Factor taking over her life for the next couple of months, not to mention the additional efforts she's making to launch her solo career, it doesn't look like Cheryl will be making her foray into fashion anytime soon.

Cheryl's debut single Fight for This Love was released this week.

No! Cheryl does NOT have a sense of style... She is not constant in her choices, some of them nice (probably chosen by others) but very many of them hideous!

I would love to wear Cheryl Cole's clothing range as long as the clothing's overall quality and material was of a high standard, because some celeb clothing ranges to tend to look a little cheap. I absolute love everything about Cheryl. Her personality, her beauty and her style are just breathtaking.
The outfit she wore for her 'Fight for this love' performance on the XFactor was so unique. The soldier hat and baggy slitted trousers was a great look for her.

Don't think it's really fair that she does, just because she is famous and gets styled well from her stylist does not make her a fashion designer; leave it to the people who study fashion for years who are trying so hard to get into it as their careers to it. It's not fair on them.

She is dressed by stylists, how can she design a clothing range if she can't even pick her own clothes. Seems these days celebs feel they can be multi skilled despite no previous training. Who needs 4 years at design college.

Cheryl doesn't really live in our world, most of her clothes are picked for her,who would she aim her clothes at those people who are a size zero, or those of us who live in the real world and are of a size 10 and up over.

I honestly don't know what all the fuss about Cheryl is - wearing designer clothes does not mean you have any idea about designing or style - you are just a drone and yes, I have seen some shocking outfit choices for her too

the only reason ppl will buy her clothes is becasue they want to be like her. she doesnt have her own style she has stylist who dress her. AND CHERYL U CANT TAKE IDEAS FROM DESIGNERS AND TURN THEM INTO HIGH STREET STUFF, TOPSHOP ALREADY DOES THAT WHAT MAKES U THINK THAT YOUR STUFF ARE GOING TO BE BETTER.

i think cheryl's very beauitiful she looks nice with whatever she wears and some people have the right to be jealous. i think she has upped her style but she should stay unique not try and be something your not just be yourself dont change.
