Sugababe Amelle takes time out

The drama just keeps on coming for those Sugababes, as Amelle Berrabah takes time out to cope with nervous exhaustion.

Less than a month after the shock departure of last original Sugababe Keisha Buchanan, 25-year-old Amelle is said to be receiving treatment at a private health clinic.

As a result, the girls - including new ‘babe Jade Ewan - have cancelled all upcoming concerts and appearances for the rest of the month.

After a few weeks rest, Amelle is expected return to work in time for the band's new single release, About a Girl, on November 9th.

Bandmates Jade and Heidi have released a statement saying: ‘As a result of recent events within the band, culminating in a change of line-up, the prolonged duration of stress has unfortunately taken its toll on Amelle and this has led to her suffering from a bout of nervous exhaustion.

‘She has been forced to take an unexpected short break away from the pressures of work, following professional medical advice.'
