Heidi Klum gives birth to a daughter

Heidi Klum gave birth to a baby girl, Lou Samuel, in LA on Friday 9th October, her rep has confirmed.

The little girl is Klum's fourth child, and her first daughter with husband Seal. The A-list couple already have two sons,  Henry, 4 and Jonah, 2, and the supermodel also has a daughter from a previous relationship, Leni, 5.

Seal released the following statement last night: 'It's difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children... If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?'


'On Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at 7:46 p.m., the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter,' he wrote. 'Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight.'

The couple wed back in 2005, after meeting while Klum was pregnant with Leni.  She recently applied to change her surname to Seal's last name, Samuel.
