Gwen Stefani's 40th birthday bash

She might not look it, but Gwen Stefani celebrated her 40th birthday in style this weekend, holding an intimate afternoon dinner for family and friends.

Taking over a room at one of Hollywood's most exclusive restaurants, Italian eatery Cecconi's, the singer was joined by husband Gavin Rossdale, their two children, Kingston, 3, and Zuma, 13 months, plus friends including Kate Beckinsale and her husband Len Wiseman. 


Speaking to People a source described: 'Gwen looked amazing and so much younger than 40. She was in a great mood and seemed very excited to celebrate her birthday with her husband, children and friends.

'Gwen and Kate seem very close and the girls shared a long chat and many laughs.'

The group enjoyed an Italian feats of pasta, salads and appetisers, followed by a huge birthday cake, covered in candles and sparklers.


The No Doubt singer turned the big 4-0 on Saturday, and kicked off festivities by enjoying a romantic meal with Rossdale.
