Alexandra Burke has released her new video, ahead of a battle with her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole for chart success.

The X Factor winner's latest single Bad Boys is out just days before Cheryl launches her solo career with her debut single.

But Alexandra is not leaving anything to chance, as she goes for full-on style and sexy attitude in her new video.

The singer is seen writhing around in a teensy gold dress and walking down a dark street in a buttock-hugging leather outfit.

Eagle-eyed fashionistas will also be able to spot Alexandra wearing a pair of four-inch Christian Louboutin Ni Toi Ni Moi ankle boots.

The video, filmed in Los Angeles, is directed by Bryan Barber - the man behind classic videos for Christina Aguilera and Outkast.

Reviews of Alexandra's new single have been good, so far!

Music website PopJustic labelled it 'basically brilliant', but will it be enough to keep Cheryl off the top spot?

Bad Boys is released on 12 October, with Alexandra's debut album, Overcome, out the next day.

She is expected to perform her new song on the X Factor in the next few weeks. We can't wait to see Cheryl's face...
