'I lived in pyjamas': Whitney’s drugs hell
Soul diva Whitney Houston has revealed she lived in her pyjamas for seven months while she was battling her drug addiction.
In a shocking interview with chat show queen Oprah Winfrey, Whitney describes the depths she sunk to during her struggle with drugs.
She says her problems began after she finished filming the hit movie The Bodyguard in 1992, while still married to husband Bobby Brown.
'At one point' she states, 'I didn't get out of my pyjamas for seven months.'
The exclusive two-part interview will be shown in the US on Monday 14 September. Oprah promised her viewers that Whitney’s explosive confessions would 'leave you gasping.'
When asked why she wanted to do the interview, Whitney told Oprah, 'I want to tell my story, I want to tell the truth.'
Whitney famously denied taking drugs during her last TV interview with Diane Sawyer in 2002, but then checked herself into rehab just two years later to fight an addiction to crack cocaine.
In 2006 the multi-platinum award-selling singer split up from Bobby Brown and has slowly rebuilt her life, even winning back custody of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
Whitney is currently promoting her new album, I Look To You. Her hit single I Will Always Love You has sold more than 40 million copies since its release in 1992.
