David Beckham flashes his pants on the Ellen Degeneres show

US viewers were in for a treat last night when David Beckham flashed his pants to TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres live on air.

In response to Degeneres's joke about whether he had considered getting a tattoo of her to sit alongside his tenth anniversary tribute to wife Victoria, Becks lifted the bottom of his shirt to reveal the name Ellen across the waistband of his boxer shorts, telling the star: 'I was very tempted - but I actually did this.'

It was a fitting tribute to DeGeneres' recent stunt, where she photoshopped her own face over wife Victoria's face in the couple's famous Armani poster campaign - and one that even had Posh cracking a smile.

Sitting proudly in the studio audience with sons Romeo and Cruz, she watched attentively before Becks planted kisses on her and the boys at the end of the interview.
