Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie buy £45m French chateau

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have splashed a whopping £45 million on a picturesque French chateau, set in a 1,000-acre estate in Provence.

The Hollywood golden couple have dropped an eye-watering £35 million to bag the 17th-century Chateau Miraval home and plan to spend a further £10 million creating the ultimate dream home for their six-strong brood.

The holiday pad boasts more than enough space for the ever-growing Brangelina clan, featuring a huge thirty-five bedrooms that the couple plan to renovate.

And if you thought they’d be nothing left over for home improvements, think again. According to sources, Brad and Ange plan to give their chateau the ultimate luxe makeover, adding a jacuzzi, steam rooms and a spa, a new gym, an expanded wine cellar – and even a motorbike track for Brad.

Brad recently said he and Angie wanted to create a more grounded environment for their children in Europe. ‘We’re trying to spend more time in the South of France, because our kids have a normal life there,’ said the Inglourious Basterds star.

With a helicopter pad in the back garden, that sounds rather hard to believe...
