Cheryl Cole vows to become nastier X Factor judge

Cheryl Cole says there'll be no more Mrs Nice Guy this season on the X Factor, and that she's planning to be more like Simon Cowell instead.

The newly dyed red head admitted this weekend that she's been struggling with having live audiences at the auditions, but is learning to be tougher with contestants.

'I'd just found my feet and then they change the format,' Cheryl told the Mirror. 'But I've really enjoyed the new process and I'm more experienced as a judge - and in saying "No".

'I struggled last year in saying no to people. This year, I'm more able to say no to people that don't have what we're looking for.'
