Mother of Jude Law's baby speaks out

Samantha Burke, the woman expecting Jude Law's fourth child, held a press conference at her mother's home this weekend, asking for privacy from the media.

The little-known actress, who has found herself catapulted into the full glare of the media's scrutiny, thanks to a short-lived affair with Jude Law last year, let her lawyers do most of the talking, but did wave and confirm her name.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Jude might not be saying much in public, but plenty of 'friends' appear to be speaking for him.

One source told the Daily Mirror, 'Jude assumed she was on the Pill. He was stunned at being informed of the pregnancy. Jude feels like now he has been made to look the bad guy. One of the reasons their brief relationship didn't work out is because Samantha was a little too keen.'

The pair have not spoken since the news broke, with all communication taking place between their solicitors, however, it is understood a financial settlement has already been agreed for the little girl, who, friends of Samantha claim, will be named Sophie.

She wants privacy, that is a laugh, why make it public then, the family is after the money nothing else. This could have been dealt with in secrecy. I personnal think there is a little blackmailing going on, Photo's to be shown.

He says he thought she was on the pill..... Oldest trick in the book. Hasn't he heard of condoms? Both as bad as each other - I just feel for the poor baby.

Privacy....I'm no fan of Jude Law but really this woman gives women a bad name. All could have been done without press involved. Amazing coincidence she's a bit part actress!
