Joely Richardson - Celebrity News - Marie Claire

Joely Richardson looks set to bring some A-list star power to the last season of BBC's The Tudors, playing Katherine Parr in the fourth and final series.

With season three set to kick off in a matter of weeks, speculation about who will play Henry VIII's sixth wife has been rife, with Gillian Anderson one possible name being whispered in Hollywood circles.

However, Entertainment Weekly today claims it'll be Joely lifting the Queen's crown. Filming on the series won't start until spring next year, but that doesn't mean the third series is entirely without big name stars. In fact, singer Joss Stone will make her dramatic debut, as Anne of Cleves in the season's final two episodes.

'The thing about Anne of Cleves is, she was not supposed to be attractive,' Joss told People earlier this year. 'Anne, let's be honest, was described as quite frumpy and ugly. But hey, I did it! I did my best! They had no problem making me ugly. Lots of make-up!'
