Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are rumoured to be planning a follow-up to the film that brought them together, Mr & Mrs Smith.

According to the National Enquirer, the A-list pair have already spoken to the original movie's screenwriter about penning the sequel and want it to focus on the married characters' new life with children.

'They're hoping lightning will strike twice and they can re-spark the magnetism that captivated them five years ago,' the tabloid paper quotes a 'close family friend' as saying.

'The romantic action film was penned by screenwriter Simon Kinberg. He's become close friend of the couple, and Brad's asked him to write the Mr & Mrs Smith sequel,' the source continues.

'This time around the Smiths will have children, and the kids' antics will be part of the story line.'

While we don't suggest you reserve your cinema ticket just yet, with Hollywood's penchant for sequels at an all-time high right now, we wouldn't discount the story altogether.

I don't think this is true. This movie got pretty bad reviews, and if it weren't for the rumored infidelity, there would have been little pull to see the film. I'm sure both of them are smart enough to realize this. Plus, jolie's body isn't what it was five years ago. And brad could play parts meant for grandfathers...

We only watched the first a few weeks ago as there was nothing else on !
We thought it was brilliant ! I want to really dislike Angeline as she has everything looks , style and BRAD but she is so good as an actress (See her in the Changling she was wonderful) you have to like her!!

i will love the a 2 movie and i know that every body wants to see these killer couples in action because its been along time off screen as couples (it will be killer movie)

YES!! Please do make the movie!! And, Brad Pitt was DONE with Jen . . . Angelina did NOT cause this!! There's a reason why Brad left Jen . . . and Jen paid for that reason, bad movie, after another, after another! Sorry Jen, you blew it!!! Shoulda had Brad's baby!
