Renée Zellweger is set to reach for the chocolate biscuits, pizza and crisps yet again, with news that she'll step into Bridget Jones' big pants for a third instalment of the hit film franchise.

The Oscar winner is piling on the pounds ready to play the full-figured singleton, with Variety reporting that filming will kick off in London at the end of the year.

Zellweger added two stones to her tiny figure to play Bridget for the first two films, and expressed reservations about taking on the role again, due to the impact the weight gain and loss had on her body.

'I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you long-term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time,' she revealed in an interview in 2007.

'The health professionals were warning me about not continuing the project any further. [It was] absolutely horrible [losing the weight]. The first lap around the track, I felt like I had a small toddler attached to my back.'

The latest flick is rumoured to focus on Bridget's desire to have a baby, as her biological clock starts to tick.

It is as yet unconfirmed whether Hugh Grant and Colin Firth will also reprise their roles.

Hugh and Colin HAVE to reprise their roles, you can't have Bridget Jones without her Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver makes it more exciting, with something good to look at!
